Which is best to use for bulb and socket (such as 1156/1157 bulb and socket) to prevent corrosion and ensure long term reliability? Ultra Seal or dielectric grease or something else?

Grote's Answer

Either could be indicated for bulb connections in preventing corrosion. Some may have preferences depending on application and materials. We would tend to suggest dielectric for a thin layer on a bulb socket, and the Ultra Seal to cover exposed areas like grounding points. Ultra Seal is specifically formulated for use on our Ultra Blue Seal Harness connections to keep moisture out.
