On the 76793 aux. strobe light, what are the different wire colors’ functions? Do you have a color code chart?
Grote's Answer
Grote’s 7679x Auxiliary LED Strobe Lights – wiring and flash patterns:
Red: To +VDC (fuse@ 3A)
Black: To Chassis Ground
White: For steady burn, apply +VDC
Yellow: For Synchronization – Connect yellow wires of all heads together for synchronization (all heads must be set at the same pattern)
For Simultaneous or Alternating Flash:
- Apply +VCD to red and yellow wires simultaneously to enter grouping. Light head will display short (single or double) flashes:
- Single Flash = Group 1
- Double Flash = Group 2
- Momentarily apply +VDC to yellow wire to change groups
- Heads in the same group flash together
- Group 1 heads alternate with Group 2 heads
For flash pattern:
- Momentarily apply +VDC to yellow wire
- once for next pattern
- quickly three times for pattern 0
