What is the difference between FMVSS: PC and FMVSS: P2?

FMVSS:P2 rated marker lamps shine light directly from the front, back, or side of a trailer.

FMVSS:PC rated marker lamps can be mounted at a 45 degree angle and the light can be seen on the front and side or back and side of a trailer; it shines light 90 degrees across the front of the lamp.

You can tell the difference between a P2 and a PC rated lamp because a PC rated lamp typically has ridges on the lens.
