Two Technologies Combined in One Surface Mount Mid Turn

Madison, IN (September 25, 2005) – Grote Industries has announced a new hybrid solution to maximize cost effectiveness in one of the most popular heavy-duty trailer applications.

The hybrid LED/Incandescent technology provides a low cost-to-life ratio by utilizing an incandescent flashing function with an LED marker.

“Hybrid LED/Incandescent technology blends the best of both worlds by offering the light output of an incandescent in the turn function and the low amp draw of LEDs in the ‘always on’ marker function for a cost effective lamp,” according to Chris Cammack, Grote Brand Manager.

The long-life, 1,200 hour bulb in mid turn application is replaceable. The units also feature hydrophobic vent filters. Located in the housing, they expel water vapor when lamp is lit, preventing water pooling inside the lamp. A foam gasket between the lens and housing provides added protection against moisture intrusion.

The “all lens” appearance of the lamp is a popular selling point in today’s trailer market.
