Grote Exclusive Theft-Resistant Flange Protects Fleet LED Investment

Tough, Anti-Tamper Device for 4” Grote SuperNova® LED

Madison, IN (September 25, 2005) – Grote Industries has announced the immediate availability of a snap-in, theft-resistant flange for its 4” round LED lamps.

Available in stainless steel and tough polycarbonate (gray, black or chrome), these flanges are perfect for cost conscious fleets that want to upgrade to LED lighting, but are concerned about the replacement cost as a result of theft.

They are also big cost savers for installers and maintenance managers who are looking for a way to cut downtime and installation costs.

This versatile snap-in flange is held in place by locking tabs (as opposed to the standard screw holes) that saves installers time with quick and easy installation. It is no longer necessary to drill through thick steel plates dulling drill bits or to secure with metal rivets.

Locking tabs on the exterior of the flange snap the flange into place on the trailer, locking it into place and keeping it from being pulled out of the hole.

There are a series of three tabs, stepped to fit trailer thicknesses from .120” to .250”.

Once the flange is locked into place, it cannot be removed from the trailer without destroying the snap tabs. A foam gasket stabilizes the flange against the trailer to minimize rattle and road shock.

This flange is a perfect candidate for stop/tail/turn applications that use Grote 4” SuperNova LEDs. These flanges are not designed to fit incandescent lamps.  Because this flange cannot be removed easily, it is recommended that it be used only with long lasting LED lighting, like the Grote SuperNova® LED line.
