Grote Recognized by Consumer Reports Obstacle Detection System Rated Number One
Madison, IN (November 9, 2004) - Consumer Reports magazine has rated Grote Industries' obstacle detection system as the #1 sensor based vehicle backup system. The ratings, published in the October issue, were based on sensitivity, how good the model was at detecting objects, and display usefulness, the effectiveness of the visual and audible warning devices. Grote's obstacle detection system contains flat sensor technology that provides 150 degrees of horizontal field vision up to seven feet and monitors back-up zones nine times per second. It also has an automatic self-test, which assures the driver that the system is working when it is activated. "We are very proud to receive this rating for one of our products," said Grote Brand Manager Chris Cammack. "This confirms our commitment to being a leader in creating and manufacturing vehicle safety system products for all drivers." Consumer Reports, published by Consumers Union since 1936, has over one million subscribers and is arguably the best known and most trusted independent source of consumer information in the United States. |
