Grote Industries Receives Its Tenth Nifty Fifty Award
Grote Industries has been honored for introducing one of the 50 most significant new products of 2002 to the commercial trucking industry. Grote’s award-winning product, the SuperNova® LED side turn lamp, was chosen out of hundreds of new products to receive a “Nifty Fifty” award from Heavy Duty Trucking magazine, the nation’s leading fleet manager’s publication. The award selections were made by a panel of technical editors at the magazine. This is the 10th Grote product to be honored with the award. “Our intention is to recognize innovation and design excellence in the trucking industry,” explained Deborah Whistler, Heavy Duty Trucking editor. “We’re honoring the companies with products which improve truck operating efficiency and help improve the fleet operator’s bottom line. In a competitive industry with very tight margins, truck operators are constantly looking for ways to reduce their cost of operation.” Grote’s SuperNova side turn lamp makes it possible for the first time to equip a trailer with LED lighting in every lamp position. The turn lamp is the only LED lamp on the market that fully complies with the vision requirements of the SAE J2039 standard. The Grote lamps draw minimal current and are maintenance-free. They fit existing mounting holes for both trucks and trailers. “For more than 100 years, Grote Industries has led the industry through innovation,” said Chris Cammack, brand manager. “We are honored to be recognized for the 10th time for our ongoing efforts to make the roads safer for all drivers, while helping to lower fleets’ cost of doing business” Heavy Duty Trucking is the top source of information for truck fleet managers in the United States. Known as “The Business Magazine of Trucking,” it is distributed to more than 100,000 subscribers monthly and covers truck industry news, regulatory issues, and equipment innovation. It is a key resource for fleet managers who must make decisions about specifying equipment. !-- CONTENT HERE --> |
