Research Reveals Grote LED Lamps and Harnesses Last Longest

Recent laboratory tests conducted by independent testing agency Logical Products, Inc., found that the complete system of Grote SuperNova® LED lamps and the Grote Ultra-Blue-Seal® wiring harness lasts 81 percent longer than the average competitive system. In the tests, it took an average of 327 hours for all systems other than Grote’s to fail. Grote’s system lasted 593 hours — 81 percent longer than the average.

The 1,000-hour tests were designed to subject four-inch round stop, tail and turn LED lamps and trailer wiring harnesses from a variety of manufacturers to the harsh conditions encountered on the road. While some competitive systems failed within minutes of the start of the test, the first Grote system failure didn’t come until 509 hours into the experiment. Clearly, the best lighting system for a fleet is one that lasts, to keep maintenance costs and downtime to a minimum.
