Bring Technicians Up to Speed with Grote Know-How Spend Less on Parts
After years of buying a variety of trucks and trailers from different manufacturers, many fleets find themselves ordering dozens of different replacement lamps and electrical accessories. This leads to inventory management issues and doesn’t allow for the price advantages that can come from buying in bulk. Grote’s new fleet sales department can help. Grote representatives help fleets consolidate part numbers and use the parts they have more effectively. They will evaluate each fleet’s individual equipment make-up, then recommend standard parts that can work across the whole fleet. For example, a mixed fleet may buy 15 different clearance and marker lamps for all of its vehicles. Grote representatives can recommend a single clearance and marker lamp that will work on all of the equipment, instead. They can also work with the OEMs and will help the fleet develop equipment specs. Finally, Grote’s two corporate trainers, John Nolan and Shelton Shepherd, provide electrical repair training to fleet maintenance personnel. It all adds up to helping fleets save money on parts expenses. To schedule a meeting with a Grote fleet sales representative or to arrange training, contact Mike Grote, national fleet sales manager, mike.grote@grote.com or (800) 457-9540. |
